₹3,000 is where most Indian families shop for a mixer grinder, and it’s a tricky line. The two machines we rate highest in our full mixer grinder guide, the Philips HL7756 and the Preethi Blue Leaf Diamond, both sat just above it on Amazon.in when we checked, at around ₹3,300 and ₹3,500. So this list has two parts: four that cost under ₹3,000 right now, and two that are worth waiting for if a sale brings them down.

Short answer: for most kitchens under ₹3,000, the Prestige Iris 750W gets you four jars including a juicer, overload protection and 2 years on the motor. If you mostly make chutneys and masala for two or three people, the Bajaj Rex 500W is the cheapest well-reviewed machine from a big brand.

1. Prestige Iris 750W — best under ₹3,000

You get four jars: a 1.5 L wet jar, a 1 L dry jar, a 300 ml chutney jar and a 1.5 L juicer jar. It has a 750 W copper motor with an overload protector, and 2 years on both the product and the motor. It’s ISI certified, and over 75,000 owners have rated it.

Watch out for: at 3.8★ it’s rated lower than the others here. Owners report the knob breaking within weeks, switches failing, and jars sticking on the base. The rating count is probably shared across colour and jar versions.

Buy it if you want a juicer jar and a 2-year motor warranty in one box.

2. Butterfly Smart 750W — the alternative with the same warranty

Butterfly matches Prestige almost line for line: 750 W, three steel jars (1.5 L, 0.75 L and 0.4 L) plus a 1.5 L juicer jar, three speeds, and 2 years on both the product and the motor. The steel jars have no visible screws inside, which makes them easier to clean. It’s #6 among mixer grinders on Amazon.in.

Watch out for: owners report jars breaking within three months, blades snapping, and a burning smell from the motor. It’s also loud. At 3.9★, it’s rated about the same as the Prestige.

Buy it if the Prestige is out of stock, or Butterfly has the better service centre near you.

3. Cookwell Bullet 600W — compact, with five jars

Check Cookwell Bullet price on Amazon →

This is a different kind of machine: a compact 600 W “bullet” with five jars, working as mixer, grinder, juicer and chopper, that weighs only 2.6 kg. It has the highest rating here, 4.3★ from almost 20,000 owners, and a 2-year pick-up and drop warranty, so someone collects it if it fails. Owners like its small footprint and the customer support.

Watch out for: it’s built for small jobs. Don’t buy it for big batches of idli batter. Some owners report the motor failing or jars cracking early.

Buy it if you have a small kitchen, cook for one or two, and make smoothies and chutneys more than batter.

4. Bajaj Rex 500W — the cheapest one we’d buy

Close to 50,000 ratings at 4.2★: a big, settled owner base. It runs a 500 W motor at 20,000 RPM with three steel jars (1.2 L, 0.8 L and 0.3 L) and three speeds. Bajaj lists the noise at 90 dB, which is loud.

Watch out for: 500 W struggles with big batches of soaked rice and dal, so grind batter in two or three rounds. The warranty is only 1 year.

Buy it if you’re a student, a couple or a small family and mostly make chutney and masala.

Two worth waiting for

Philips HL7756 750W is our best overall pick. It has the longest motor warranty of any mixer grinder we’ve compared at this price: 5 years (plus 2 years on the product) and a 1.5 L steel wet jar. It was about ₹300 over budget when we checked.

Preethi Blue Leaf Diamond 750W is our pick for South Indian cooking. Its Flexi lid turns the 1.5 L jar into a 1 L jar for small batches, and it comes with lifelong free service (labour). It was about ₹500 over budget.

Prices on both move during Amazon’s big sales. Check our Today’s Deals page during Amazon’s sale events, and buy whichever drops under ₹3,000 first.

What you give up under ₹3,000

  • Motor warranty. Only the Philips gives 5 years, and it’s just over budget. Most of the machines here give 1–2 years.
  • Overload protection is stated only on the Prestige. On the others, give the motor a break between long grinds.
  • Noise. Every 500–750 W mixer grinder is loud. None of these is quiet.
  • Heavy batter. If you make idli or dosa batter every week, look at a wet grinder instead of pushing a budget mixer.

How we chose
