Best Treadmill Under ₹20,000 in India (2026): 5 Picks for Walking and Light Jogging

We earn a commission if you buy through our Amazon.in links. It costs you nothing extra and doesn’t decide our picks. How we choose →

Be clear about this budget first. A treadmill under ₹20,000 is a walking machine that can handle some jogging, not a running machine. The motors are small once you look past the “4 HP” and “5 HP” peak figures, and belts are shorter.

That’s fine if you know it going in. Daily brisk walking is what most people buy a home treadmill for. We compared the motorised treadmills in stock on Amazon.in in the ₹11k–20k range and read owner reviews for repeat problems. Five made the shortlist, plus what to do under ₹10,000. For every budget, see our best treadmill for home in India guide.

Under ₹10,000, get the PowerMax WalkPad-2 and accept it’s for walking only.

1. Fitkit by Cult PowerRunPlus — best overall under ₹20,000

Check Fitkit by Cult PowerRunPlus price on Amazon →

Who it’s for: Walkers and light joggers up to about 100 kg.

It wins on headroom. Cult rates it for 120 kg and 14 km/h, with a brushless motor rated 5 HP peak. There’s a 2-level manual incline, 12 programmes, pulse sensors and a tablet holder, and it folds with a knob and rolls away on wheels. About 4.0★ from roughly 3,150 ratings.

What we like

  • Highest weight rating and top speed here
  • BLDC motor; folds and rolls
  • Large owner base

Watch out for

  • The running area is 105 × 39 cm. Fine for walking, tight for jogging if you’re over 5’10”.
  • No continuous HP figure.
  • 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects only, and Cult recommends a 2 kVA stabiliser.

Verdict: The safe pick at this budget. If incline matters more than weight rating, look at pick 2.

2. Lifelong 5HP Auto Incline — motorised incline under ₹20,000

Check Lifelong 5HP Auto Incline Treadmill price on Amazon →

Who it’s for: Walkers up to about 90 kg who’ll actually use incline.

Manual incline means stepping off and adjusting it, so most people stop bothering. This Lifelong changes the angle at a button press: 12 levels of auto incline, 14 km/h and a 1100 × 420 mm belt, the widest in this group. It has a hydraulic fold and Bluetooth.

What we like

  • Auto incline in the ₹15k–17k band
  • 420 mm belt
  • Hydraulic fold

Watch out for

  • 110 kg maximum; plan around 90 kg.
  • No continuous HP; 1-year warranty.
  • Its rating count is shared with every other Lifelong treadmill.

Verdict: Pick this over the PowerRunPlus if incline walking is your weight-loss plan.

3. Lifelong FitPro LLTM09AD — quiet folding for small flats

Check Lifelong FitPro LLTM09AD price on Amazon →

Who it’s for: Walkers up to about 90 kg who’ll fold it away after every session.

The useful detail is the soft-drop fold: the deck lowers itself slowly instead of slamming down, which matters if you fold it daily in a 1BHK. It runs 0.8–12 km/h with a 3-level manual incline, 12 programmes, and Bluetooth speakers. Eight rubber pads sit under the deck to soak up impact.

What we like

  • Soft-drop fold
  • Eight rubber deck pads, kinder on knees and the floor

Watch out for

  • The title says 4 HP peak and the bullet points say 4.5 HP. Neither is a continuous figure.
  • Belt size isn’t on the listing.
  • Its rating count is shared with Lifelong’s other treadmills.

Verdict: A good fit if daily storage is the main constraint.

4. PowerMax TDM-98 — the long-running simple option

Check PowerMax TDM-98 price on Amazon →

Who it’s for: Walkers up to about 90 kg who want a model that’s been around for years.

The TDM-98 is one of the longest-selling budget treadmills on Amazon.in, at 4.3★. The specs are plain: 4 HP peak DC motor, 110 kg limit, 10 km/h, 3-level manual incline, 12 programmes plus 3 target modes, and a hydraulic soft-drop fold. PowerMax quotes noise up to 68 dB, roughly conversation level.

What we like

  • Long track record
  • Soft-drop fold
  • A published noise figure

Watch out for

  • 10 km/h top speed. Walking and slow jogs only.
  • The rating count is shared with PowerMax’s newer TDM-95 and TDA-95 listings.
  • Belt size isn’t on the live listing; older retailer pages say about 1100 × 400 mm.
  • Installation is paid.

Verdict: Fine for daily walks. Want 14 km/h? Pick 1 or 2.

5. FITKIT by Cult Jogging Treadmill — best under ₹13,000

Availability, 24 October 2026: Amazon.in shows this one as “Currently unavailable”. We’ll replace it if it doesn’t come back soon. Until then, if walking is enough, the PowerMax WalkPad-2 costs less; otherwise stretch to the Fitkit by Cult PowerRunPlus (pick 1).

Check FITKIT by Cult Jogging Treadmill availability on Amazon →

Who it’s for: Walkers in small rooms with ₹11k–13k to spend.

Despite the name, treat it as a walker. The running area is 100 × 38 cm, the shortest here. Cult still rates it for 120 kg, with a 4.5 HP peak BLDC motor, 12 km/h, 3-level manual incline and a knob fold with wheels. About 4.1★ from roughly 2,500 ratings.

What we like

  • Cheapest full treadmill here; 120 kg rating
  • Small enough for a bedroom corner

Watch out for

  • The 100 cm belt is short. Plan on walking, not jogging.
  • 1-year warranty, and Cult recommends a 2 kVA stabiliser.
  • Its rating count appears shared with the Fitkit FT98Carbon-AM listing.

Verdict: A sensible ₹12k walker. If you’re over 5’10”, spend the extra on pick 1.

What ₹20,000 gets you (and what it doesn’t)

Expect these from an ₹11k–20k treadmill:

  • Motor: 4–5 HP “peak” on the box; continuous ratings aren’t published.
  • Belt: 1000–1100 mm long, 380–420 mm wide. Comfortable walking, cramped jogging.
  • Incline: mostly manual, though auto incline now starts around ₹16,000.
  • Speed: 10–14 km/h.
  • Weight: 110–120 kg ratings.

What it doesn’t get you: a 1200 mm belt, a 130 kg+ rating, or a warranty longer than a year.

Under ₹10,000: a walking pad, not a treadmill

Check PowerMax WalkPad-2 price on Amazon →

The motorised treadmills under ₹10,000 we looked at had tiny belts or thin reviews. The better buy is a walking pad. The PowerMax WalkPad-2 runs 0–6 km/h on a 3 HP motor, takes up to 110 kg, comes with a remote and 6 programmes, and slides under a desk or sofa. PowerMax gives the frame a 10-year warranty (1 year on motor and parts). It sits in the ₹7k–9k band at about 4.4★ from roughly 2,750 ratings, a count shared with another PowerMax Walkpad listing. It’s for walking only, and it still needs power.

And a manual treadmill? We’d normally suggest one here for power cuts, but the manual treadmills on Amazon.in right now are poorly reviewed. The best of them, the Lifeline LYSN5213, has 3.7★ from about 500 ratings. We can’t recommend one. If cuts are frequent, run a walking pad from an inverter-backed socket only if the brand confirms it’s safe, or look at a non-motorised exercise bike or strength training instead.

More options are in our walking pad guide and our treadmill vs walking pad comparison.

Spend a bit more if…

  • You’ll jog three or more times a week, or you’re over 5’10”. A 1200 mm+ belt starts in the ₹21k–25k band.
  • You weigh over 100 kg. 130–150 kg ratings with auto incline also start around ₹21,000.

All of these are in our best treadmill under ₹30,000 guide.

Buying checklist

Ignore peak HP. If continuous HP isn’t shown, assume about half the peak figure. For walking, 1.5 HP continuous is enough.

Leave 15–20 kg of weight margin. At 85 kg, a 100–110 kg machine is the minimum.

Check belt length. Below about 1100 mm, people over 5’10” tend to clip the motor hood.

Budget ₹1,500–3,000 for a stabiliser. Voltage swings kill controller boards, and some brands won’t honour the warranty without one. Cult asks for 2 kVA. A home inverter usually won’t run a motorised treadmill.

Check service in your city. Search “[brand] service centre [your city]” before ordering, and keep the invoice and an unboxing video.

Plan the floor. Allow 2 m clear behind the deck and add a rubber mat in an upper-floor flat. Our fitness accessories for beginners guide covers what else is worth buying.

FAQs

How we chose

Two of our earlier picks were discontinued in October 2026, so we rebuilt this list from treadmills in stock on Amazon.in on 18 October, between about ₹11,000 and ₹20,000. We compared specs from the live listings: motor, weight rating, belt size, incline, speed and warranty, and flagged values that were vague or conflicting. We noted where rating counts are shared across a brand’s listings and dropped thinly reviewed models. We haven’t used these machines hands-on, so our opinions rest on specs and owner reports. No brand paid for placement. Read our full method →
